What is Chin Liposuction?
Chin liposuction is a procedure where excess fat tissue accumulated under the chin and neck area is suctioned out using thin cannulas. Thanks to this operation, the facial profile becomes more defined, and the transition between the jawline and neck line gains a clearer appearance. Over time, due to aging, genetic factors, or weight gain, fat accumulation can occur in the chin area. This condition can make a person look older, heavier, or saggy when viewed from the front or side. How is Chin Liposuction Performed?

Procedure Steps
- A small 3-4 mm incision is made under the chin
- Fat tissue is carefully suctioned using thin special cannulas
- The incisions are closed with self-dissolving stitches
- After the procedure, a special chin bandage is applied for support
No visible scars remain.
Preoperative Precautions
- Blood-thinning medications should be stopped 5-7 days prior
- Smoking and alcohol consumption should be limited
- If there is an active skin infection (acne, wound), the procedure should be postponed
- All preoperative checks recommended by the doctor should be completed
Recovery Process
- Patients are discharged the same day
- Mild bruising and swelling may occur during the first 2-3 days
- The special chin bandage is worn for 3-5 days
- Normal activities can usually be resumed within 1 week
- Results begin to become noticeable within the first month
